— Tiger Utilities
We're experts in the installation of new sewer connections, for projects of all scales.
Our professional services are specifically designed to be scalable, providing safe and effective removal of wastewater for private residential properties, local authorities, building contractors and water utility companies.
There are specific government regulations and guidance that you must follow to avoid damaging sewer infrastructure and we’re well versed in working effectively to these specifications.
In addition to this guidance, if you are looking to submit a new sewer application to the existing public sewer system then you will need to make a full application to your local authority, including mandatory information including the location of your nearest sewer connection and the qualified contractor that you’re planning to use for the new sewer installation.
We are highly experienced in this application process and can guide you through any additional details such as land access permissions and project completion times.
For both indirect and direct sewer connections, to get permission for your new sewer you’ll need to submit a new sewer location plan. This includes a detailed breakdown of your project intentions, such as the route of new sewer pipes and the overall boundaries of the property. We offer a fully managed new sewer connection installation process, taking care of all paperwork on your behalf.
Using modern techniques which enable us to work on the sewer without full excavation, we can also offer expert sewer repatching and relining services. Traditional sewer works require the digging of a full trench to allow workers full access to all piping and component parts. However, through repatching or relining the sewer problems can be resolved at a much lower cost.
Damage to the sewer system is usually caused by aging, strong weather events or intrusion by tree roots. There are several ways in which your proposed new sewer can be installed. The first stage of your project is to undertake a full site inspection, to assess which approach is the best solution for you.
We conduct a full CCTV sewer survey to assess the best ways to access and install your new connection, saving on both time and overall project costs when compared to a full physical inspection. For more complex projects, we always carry out a man-entry inspection of the sewer as required.
From here we then select the best sewer installation method, including junction insertions and manhole connections. Both options have detailed regulations and we always stick to them vigorously during your project.

The team who conducted the work were great…a credit to the company!
Lead water pipes are dangerous because lead can dissolve into the water and be ingested. This can lead to serious health problems, especially for young children, pregnant women, and elderly people. Lead pipes were commonly used in plumbing until the mid-20th century but have since been replaced with safer materials like copper and plastic.
Your local water company usually provides funding to support you in replacing your lead pipes. In some cases this can also be paid directly to approved contractors.
It is only properties built before 1970 which are likely to have lead pipes. We have put together a useful guide on how to check for lead pipes. The main steps are:
The majority of lead pipe replacements can be complete within a day.
This is again dependent on the size of your project, but this can start from around £550 + VAT. Funding is also usually available from your water supplier.
